How Bloom Began

When I first started traveling, I wasn’t searching for luxury resorts or bucket-list landmarks—I was searching for connection. While balancing college, multiple jobs, and leadership opportunities, I realized that travel was the one thing that continually challenged my perspective and reminded me how much there was left to learn.

Everything changed after taking my first international trip. Instead of rushing from one attraction to the next, I found myself drawn to conversations with local residents, wildlife conservation efforts, family-owned businesses, and the stories that rarely make it into traditional travel guides. Those experiences showed me that travel isn’t just about seeing new places—it’s about understanding them.

That realization eventually led me to study sustainable tourism and conservation marketing at the University of Oxford, where I researched how storytelling and social media can inspire more thoughtful travel choices. Bloom Travel Collective grew from that experience. Today, my goal is simple: help travelers explore the world with greater curiosity, learn from the people and places they visit, and leave destinations better than they found them.
